Job summary

Wilson Medical Center in Wilson, NC seeks an experienced RN leader to oversee ED and Behavioral Health operations, ensuring safe, high-quality patient care across all ages.

You will mentor staff, shape policies, manage budgets, and collaborate with physicians and leadership to drive continuous improvement and efficient patient flow.

BSN required; 5+ years ER/BH; 3+ years leadership; active certifications including BLS/ACLS/PALS/TNCC.

Qualifications

• Current state RN license and BSN required.
• Minimum 5 years ER or Behavioral Health experience.
• Minimum 3 years nursing leadership or management experience.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and Handle With Care certifications preferred within deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Oversees daily operations of the Emergency Department and Behavioral Health services.
• Directs clinical programs, workflow, staffing, and departmental administration.
• Ensures high-quality, safe, and compliant patient care across all age groups.
• Develops, implements, and evaluates departmental policies, procedures, and performance standards.

What we're looking for – a decisive, collaborative nursing leader with deep emergency care expertise

Applicants should have a current state RN license and possess a degree from an accredited nursing school.

• Additional requirements include:
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
• Minimum 5 years of Emergency Room or Behavioral Health experience
• Minimum 3 years of nursing leadership or management experience
• BLS certification required (or obtained within first week of hire)
• ACLS and PALS required
• TNCC required within 12 months of hire
• Handle With Care certification required within 6 months of hire
• Strong critical‑thinking skills and ability to lead under pressure
