Job summary

Centerpoint Health - Paris is seeking a Full Time ER RN to deliver plan of care, administer medications, collect specimens, perform clinical treatments and coordinate patient care within a multi-disciplinary team.

The role requires current RN license, a Bachelor's degree in nursing, BLS certification, and ideally 1 year ER RN experience; ACLS, PALS and Handle with Care are preferred.

Qualifications

• Current state RN license.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited nursing school.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• One year of Emergency Room RN experience preferred.
• BCLS required; ACLS, PALS, and Handle with Care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care activities.
• Documents patient care provided.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to the care team, physician, patient, and family.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial/spiritual support needs.
• Evaluates patient and family learning needs and provides appropriate education based on age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
• Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
• Participates in performance improvement and continuing education.
• Provides quality patient care and works flexible shifts or units as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Location: Centerpoint - Paris (formerly Bourbon Community Hospital).
