Job summary

Lifepoint Health's Paris Regional in Paris, Texas is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our patient‑centered team. You will deliver direct patient care, administer medications, and coordinate services across the care continuum to improve outcomes for diverse populations.

Responsibilities include documenting care, communicating patient status to the team and family, and supporting daily living activities while maintaining adherence to safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Current Texas RN license.
• Associates degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing school.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS and PALS within six months of hire.
• One year of nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform plan-of-care interventions including medications, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care activities.
• Document patient care provided.
• Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition to the care team, physician, patient, and family.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Collaborate across disciplines to coordinate patient care including transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial support.
• Evaluate patient and family learning needs and provide education based on age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
• Advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
• Participate in performance improvement and continuing education.
• Provide quality patient care and maintain regular, reliable attendance.

Essential Functions

• Evaluates patient and family learning needs and provides appropriate education based on age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
• Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
• Participates in performance improvement and continuing education.
• Provides quality patient care and works flexible shifts or units as needed.
• Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Exposure: Occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens is present for all employees.

Physical Requirements: Frequent standing, walking, lifting/moving patients, and repetitive hand/arm movements. Regular exposure to biological and chemical hazards, including blood and bodily fluids, hazardous medications, and latex.

Qualifications And Requirements

Applicants should have a current state RN license and possess a associates degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include:

• Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS and PALS are required within six months of hire.
• One year of experience required
• ASLS certification preferred
