Job summary

Lake Region Healthcare in Fergus Falls, MN is hiring a Registered Nurse to join the Emergency Department on a casual, less than 32 hours biweekly basis. You will provide nursing care to patients, coordinate the nursing process, and communicate with patients, families, and staff in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Required MN RN licensure; Basic Cardiology; ACLS/PALS/TNCC preferred or willing to obtain within one year; CPR for Healthcare Provider on hire or within 6 months; minimum one year

Qualifications

• Graduate of a nursing program with MN licensure.
• Completion of Basic Cardiology class.
• Minimum of one year medical/surgical experience.
• ACLS, PALS and TNCC certs preferred or willing to obtain within one year.
• CPR for Healthcare Provider certification on hire or within 6 months.
• Successful completion of pre-employment health screening.
• Must attend the work site per schedule.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients using the nursing process.
• Coordinate and delegate nursing care and supervise patient care.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families and staff.
• Collaborate with the ED team to deliver timely, safe care.

Position Type: Casual (Less than 32 hrs every 2 weeks).

Salary Range: $42.31 - $62.14 Hourly.

Job Category: Nursing - Hospital.

The purpose of this position is to provide nursing care to patients. The framework for practice will be the nursing process in order to prescribe, delegate and coordinate nursing care. The RN has contact with patients, patient families and visitors, hospital employees, referral agencies, volunteers, administration, and physicians. Effective interpersonal and communication skills are essential for this position. The RN must be able to supervise patient care, secure cooperation from others, problem-solve, and exercise initiative and judgement.
