Job summary

Premier Health Partners is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Emergency Department at Miami Valley Hospital. This full-time role supports a Level I Trauma Center and busy ED operations, including coordination of care with the interdisciplinary team.

The CN delivers high-quality nursing care, adheres to standards, and provides physical, emotional, and spiritual support to patients and families. BSN is preferred and Ohio RN licensure is required.

Qualifications

• Must hold an active Ohio RN license.
• BSN preferred.
• Ability to multitask in a high-acuity setting with interruptions.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a busy Emergency Department.

The clinical nurse (CN) functions in a multi-faceted role that demonstrates professionalism and promotes excellence in the practice of Nursing. The CN is responsible for maintaining high standards for a caseload of patients as described by the scope of care for the area of practice and demonstrates appropriate actions based on sound scientific research and evidence-based principles. The CN also coordinates/directs care delivered by the interdisciplinary team. The CN is accountable for compliance with the Ohio Nurse Practice Act, applicable regulatory standards, and institutional policies and procedures. The CN provides physical, emotional and spiritual support that directly/indirectly impacts the patient outcomes and care provided to patients/ families/ significant others.

Education: Graduation from an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred.

Licensure/Certification/Registration: Valid Ohio RN license

Experience: 1 year of current acute care hospital-based RN experience is required.
