Job summary

Miami Valley Hospital’s Emergency and Trauma Center is seeking a Registered Nurse to join a busy Level I Trauma Center and primary stroke center. The RN will manage a caseload in a high-acuity ED and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to deliver evidence-based care.

The role requires Ohio RN licensure and at least 1 year of acute care RN experience; BSN is preferred. This full-time night-shift position offers a sign-on bonus and opportunities for professional growth in a 848-bed tertiary

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred.
• Valid Ohio RN license.
• 1 year of current acute care hospital-based RN experience is required.

Responsibilities

• The clinical nurse (CN) functions in a multi-faceted role that demonstrates professionalism and promotes excellence in Nursing.
• The CN is responsible for maintaining high standards for a caseload of patients as described by the scope of care for the area of practice and demonstrates appropriate actions based on sound scientific research and evidence-based principles.
• The CN also coordinates/directs care delivered by the interdisciplinary team.
• The CN is accountable for compliance with the Ohio Nurse Practice Act, applicable regulatory standards, and institutional policies and procedures.
• The CN provides physical, emotional and spiritual support that directly/indirectly impacts the patient outcomes and care provided to patients/families/significant others.
