Job summary

Tanner Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to perform nursing functions and supervise other RNs, LPNs, and assistive personnel in delivering care according to the Alabama nurse practice act.

The RN will assess patient needs, plan and implement care, and evaluate outcomes to ensure quality patient care. Licensure, CPR certification, and the ability to supervise diverse nursing staff are required.

Qualifications

• Six months of related experience required.
• ACLS within 6 months of hire in ED/ICU/Surgery/PACU/CCU, etc.
• NRP within 6 months for Nursery and L&D.
• PALS within one year in PACU.
• BLS within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs and plan and implement nursing care.
• Supervise RNs, LPNs, and Nurse Techs as appropriate.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of care provided.
• Comply with state nurse practice act.
