Position Summary

The Emergency Department (ED) RN provides, coordinates, and evaluates nursing care, supervising staff within established standards and policies. The role requires managing care in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating safety and cultural competence, and collaborating with an interprofessional team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct initial and ongoing assessments, develop care plans, administer treatments, and evaluate outcomes.
• Administer medications safely following policies and standards.
• Coordinate patient care across hospital departments.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
• Manage physical and emotional demands of emergency nursing.
• Apply current and innovative emergency nursing practices.

Qualifications
