Summary of Primary Function/General Purpose of Position: The Emergency Department (ED) RN provides, coordinates, plans, evaluates nursing care, and supervises staff within established standards and policies. The RN demonstrates the ability to care for patients in a fast-paced, high-intensity setting as part of a team focused on optimal outcomes. The RN models safety and cultural behaviors to eliminate harm and ensure a safe, high-quality care experience.

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (preferred).
Minimum 1 year of RN experience required; recent emergency or critical care experience preferred.
High-stress periods, possible exposure to physical altercations, noise, hazardous substances, and infectious materials. Use of protective equipment and adherence to infection control policies are required.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand, walk, bend, and perform other physical tasks as detailed.
Care for patients across the lifespan, from neonates to adolescents, understanding growth and development principles.
