Job summary

UP Health System - Marquette seeks an Electrophysiology RN to join our Cath Lab team, delivering specialized cardiovascular care. You’ll support procedures, monitor patients, chart care, and provide procedural sedation with a Monday–Friday schedule.

The role requires an active Michigan RN license and an associate degree, with bachelor’s preferred. BLS-HCP and ACLS within 3 months are required. Competitive benefits and a sign-on bonus are available.

Qualifications

• Current Michigan RN license is required.
• Associate's degree from an accredited nursing program; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• BLS for Health Care Providers (BLS-HCP) and ACLS certification within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration and patient treatments.
• Documents patient care provided.
• Monitors and communicates patient condition to care team, physicians, patient and family.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living.
• Coordinates patient transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial support as needed.
• Assesses learning needs of patient and family and provides education appropriate to age and culture.
• Acts as advocate for patient’s physical and emotional well-being.

More About Our Team

Join our Cath Lab team and provide specialized care for patients undergoing cardiovascular procedures, with the primary focus on Electrophysiology. In this role, you'll assist with procedures, patient monitoring, charting, and procedural sedation. Enjoy a Monday-Friday schedule.

How You'll Contribute

An Electrophysiology RN who excels in this role:

• Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment.
• Documents patient care given.
• Monitors, records, and communicate patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family.
• Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
• Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
• Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.

What We're Looking For

Applicants should have a current Michigan RN license and possess an associate's degree from an accredited nursing school (bachelor's preferred).

Additional Requirements Include

• Basic Life Support Health Care Provider (BLS-HCP)
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) (within 3 months)
