Job summary

UP Health System - Marquette seeks an Electrophysiology RN to join the Cath Lab, providing specialized cardiovascular care. You will assist procedures, monitor patients, document care, and support family education in a Monday–Friday, day-shift setting.

Ideal candidates hold a Michigan RN license, an associate degree in nursing, and BLS; ACLS within 3 months is required. A $7,500 sign-on bonus is offered plus comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Current Michigan RN license.
• Associate's degree from an accredited nursing school; bachelor's preferred.
• BLS-HCP certification.
• ACLS certification within 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Performs plan of care interventions including medication administration and clinical treatments.
• Documents patient care provided and monitors patient condition.
• Supports activities of daily living and coordinates patient transfer, discharge, and referrals.
• Educates patient and family, and advocates for patient well‑being.

Join our Cath Lab team and provide specialized care for patients undergoing cardiovascular procedures, with the primary focus on Electrophysiology. In this role, you'll assist with procedures, patient monitoring, charting, and procedural sedation. Enjoy a Monday-Friday schedule.

How you'll contribute

An Electrophysiology RN who excels in this role:

• Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment.
• Documents patient care given.
• Monitors, records, and communicate patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family.
• Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
• Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
• Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.

What we're looking for

Applicants should have a current Michigan RN license and possess an associate's degree from an accredited nursing school (bachelor's preferred).

Additional requirements include

• Basic Life Support Health Care Provider (BLS-HCP)
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) (within 3 months)
