Job summary

Lifepoint Health's UP Health System - Marquette in Michigan is seeking an Electrophysiology RN to join the Cath Lab team. You'll provide specialized cardiovascular care, monitor patients, assist with procedures, and ensure accurate charting.

Qualifications

• Michigan RN license and an ADN (bachelor's preferred).
• BLS for Health Care Providers and ACLS within 3 months are required.
• Experience in cath lab or electrophysiology is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform plan of care interventions, including medication administration and patient care tasks.
• Document patient care accurately and maintain charting.
• Monitor patient condition and communicate with care team, physicians, and family.
• Assist with activities of daily living and prepare patients for procedures.
• Coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams for transfers and discharge.

More about our team

Join our Cath Lab team and provide specialized care for patients undergoing cardiovascular procedures, with the primary focus on Electrophysiology. In this role, you'll assist with procedures, patient monitoring, charting, and procedural sedation. Enjoy a Monday-Friday schedule.

How you'll contribute

An Electrophysiology RN who excels in this role:

Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment.

Documents patient care given.

Monitors, records, and communicate patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family.

Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.

Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.

Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.

Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.

What we're looking for

Applicants should have a current Michigan RN license and possess an associate’s degree from an accredited nursing school (bachelor’s preferred).

Additional requirements include

Basic Life Support Health Care Provider (BLS-HCP)

Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) (within 3 months)
