Job summary

Texas Health Resources is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Dismissal Lounge at Fort Worth, PRN, day shift. You will deliver patient care using the Nursing Process, perform assessments, plan and intervene as needed, and ensure continuity of care across shifts and transfers in a high-acuity MAGNET facility.

The role requires RN licensure, appropriate certifications (BCLS/ACLS, CPI, NIHSS), and a nursing degree with preference for BSN.

Qualifications

• Nursing degree required or equivalent; BSN preferred.
• RN licensure held and active upon hire (Texas or compact).
• ACLs/NIHSS and CPI training within stated timeframes.
• CLIAFE compliance for foreign education equivalency and BCLS prior to independent care.

Work Hours: PRN, Day Shift with the opportunity to work a consistent schedule and additional hours based on department needs and employee availability.

Here’s What You Need:

• Nursing Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred
• Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire
• CLIAFE - Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency
• BCLS - prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly
• ACLS - within 90 days of hire required
• CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training - within 90 days of hire
• NIHSS - required for ICU/PCU Neighborhood 6 Months Req
• 1-year experience as a registered nurse or completion of an RN residency program required
• One (1) year of RN experience in acute care hospital strongly preferred

What You Will Do:

Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process

• assesses the patient
• plans the care of the patient
• intervenes as appropriate
• evaluates the effectiveness of intervention
• Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
• Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
• Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers
