Job summary

Texas Health Resources is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Float Pool at Texas Health Southwest in Fort Worth, TX. The role is full-time, daytime with weekend/holiday requirements, offering opportunities across PCU, Med Surg, and ED Holds with self-scheduling and strong growth potential.

Requirements include a Nursing Diploma/ADN (BSN preferred), 1 year RN experience or RN residency, and active RN license with BCLS, ACLS, CPI, and NIHSS within required timelines.

Qualifications

• Nursing Diploma or ADN required; BSN preferred.
• 1 year RN experience or completion of RN residency program required.
• Med/Surg and Progressive Care experience strongly preferred.
• RN license required upon hire.
• BCLS, ACLS, CPI training required within defined timelines.
• NIHSS required for ICU/PCU neighborhood within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process.
• Assesses the patient.
• Plans the care of the patient.
• Intervenes as appropriate.
• Evaluates the effectiveness of intervention.
• Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
• Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others' information needs.

Full-time, Day Shift (36 hours/week); weekend and holiday requirements

Education

Here’s What You Need:

• Nursing Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred

Experience

• 1-year experience as a registered nurse or completion of an RN residency program required

Licenses And Certifications

• RN – Registered Nurse Upon Hire Required
• BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support - prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Required
• ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support - within 90 days of hire Required
• CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention Training – within 90 days of hire Required
• NIHSS - required for ICU/PCU Neighborhood 6 Months Required
