PAM Health Specialty and Rehabilitation Hospital of Covington in Hammond, LA is seeking a Dialysis Registered Nurse to join our bedside team. You will deliver and supervise nursing care for patients on dialysis, coordinating with the care team to support recovery and discharge planning.

Formación

• RN License in the state you are applying.
• Current BLS certification.
• ACLS certification is preferred initially and required after 90 days of employment.
• ACLS is REQUIRED from day 1 for all Charge Nurses, High Obs, and ICU.
• Certification through the NNCC is preferred but not required.

• Plan, coordinate, and provide patient care including discharge planning and education.
• Oversee dialysis treatments as ordered by physicians.
• May perform Charge Nurse duties as applicable.

Responsibilities

Under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer/Director of Nursing, Nurse Manager or Charge Nurse, the Dialysis Registered Nurse is responsible for utilizing the nursing process while delivering, directing and supervising care to patients admitted to the nursing unit. The Registered Nurse plans, coordinates, and provides patient care to include interdisciplinary planning, discharge planning, patient and family teaching for post-hospitalization, and accessing community resources. May perform other related duties as assigned or requested, including Charge Nurse (ACLS certification required). Dialysis Nurses are responsible for overseeing dialysis treatments required by patients suffering from acute or chronic kidney failure as ordered by physicians.

• Certification through the Nephrology Nursing Certification Commission (NNCC) is preferred but not required.
