Job summary

PAM Health Specialty and Rehabilitation Hospital of Covington is seeking a Dialysis Registered Nurse to deliver and coordinate care for dialysis patients. Under supervision, you will plan and provide comprehensive nursing care, discharge planning, and patient education as part of a multidisciplinary team.

ACLS certification is required from day one for certain roles and preferred initially for others; NNCC certification is welcome.

Qualifications

• RN License in the state you are applying
• Current BLS certification
• ACLS certification is preferred initially and required after 90 days of employment
• ACLS is REQUIRED from day 1 for all Charge Nurses, High Obs, and ICU
• Certification through the NNCC is preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Deliver, direct, and supervise care to dialysis patients.
• Plan, coordinate, and provide patient care including discharge planning and family teaching.
• Oversee dialysis treatments as ordered by physicians

Responsibilities

Under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer/Director of Nursing, Nurse Manager or Charge Nurse, the Dialysis Registered Nurse is responsible for utilizing the nursing process while delivering, directing and supervising care to patients admitted to the nursing unit. The Registered Nurse plans, coordinates, and provides patient care to include interdisciplinary planning, discharge planning, patient and family teaching for post-hospitalization, and accessing community resources. May perform other related duties as assigned or requested, including Charge Nurse (ACLS certification required). Dialysis Nurses are responsible for overseeing dialysis treatments required by patients suffering from acute or chronic kidney failure as ordered by physicians.
