Job summary

PAM Health Specialty and Rehabilitation Hospital of Covington is seeking a Dialysis Registered Nurse to deliver, direct, and supervise patient care on our unit. You will plan and coordinate care, discharge planning, and family teaching with a focus on dialysis for kidney patients.

Requirements include an active RN license in the state of apply, BLS, and ACLS (ACLS required from day 1 for Charge Nurses and ICU roles). NNCC certification is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Current BLS certification is required.
• ACLS certification is preferred initially and required after 90 days of employment.
• NNCC certification is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide, direct, and supervise dialysis nursing care using the nursing process.
• Coordinate interdisciplinary planning, discharge planning, and family teaching.
• Oversee dialysis treatments for patients with acute or chronic kidney failure as ordered by physicians.

Responsibilities

Under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer/Director of Nursing, Nurse Manager or Charge Nurse, the Dialysis Registered Nurseis responsible for utilizing the nursing process while delivering, directing and supervising care to patients admitted to the nursing unit. The Registered Nurse plans, coordinates, and provides patient care to include interdisciplinary planning, discharge planning, patient and family teaching for post-hospitalization, and accessing community resources. May perform other related duties as assigned or requested, including Charge Nurse (ACLS certification required).Dialysis Nursesare responsible for overseeing dialysis treatments required by patients suffering from acute or chronic kidney failure as ordered by physicians.
