St. Mary Medical Center in Bucks County (Langhorne) is seeking a Full-time Registered Nurse for the 12 Hour Day Shift. The RN is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care and for delegating tasks to the healthcare team.

The role emphasizes education, safety, and coordination with the care team. Responsibilities include documenting assessments, plans, and medication use; communicating changes in patient condition; prioritizing duties; and ensuring infection

Qualifications

• ASN/ADN Required, BSN Preferred.
• PA RN License.
• AHA BLS.

Responsibilities

• Assess learning needs and readiness to learn, addressing barriers to learning while incorporating education into daily care.
• Document admission assessments, plans, interventions and medication use, and monitor outcomes.
• Use information systems to communicate changes in patient condition and prioritize tasks.
• Communicate patient transfers and information during bedside handoffs and interprofessional rounds.
• Recognize and address patient needs, including abuse recognition and referrals.
• Incorporate pain management and supportive care into the plan of care.
• Adhere to infection control standards and maintain a safe, clean environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Shift: Full Time Days

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating the delivery of patient care. The professional nurse assumes the responsibility and accountability for the delegation of patient care to other members of the healthcare team.

Job Summary

• Assesses learning needs, readiness to learn and identify actual or potential barriers to learning and thereby incorporating the patient's education into daily activities based on age, cultural and spiritual values.
• Documents admission assessment / reassessment, plan, interventions and medication use and monitors its effects and outcomes according to policy.
• Utilizes the information management system to enhance communication and documents change in-patients condition to all appropriate individuals. Prioritizes work assignment based on changing situations.
• Communicates transfer of patient responsibility and pertinent information at the bedside and during Interprofessional Rounds
• Recognizes and integrates patient special needs and individualizes care and knowledgeable in abuse recognition and referral
• Includes pain management and supportive care issues in the plan of care.
• Adheres to infection control standards specific to patient care and by promotes and maintains a safe, clean and orderly environment.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
