Job summary

BlueRidge Vista in Cincinnati, OH is seeking a Day Shift Psychiatric RN to lead patient care during peak treatment hours. You will apply clinical judgment, therapeutic communication, and teamwork to ensure safe, effective progress for patients on our inpatient unit.

This role requires 2+ years of psychiatric leadership and active collaboration with an interdisciplinary team. A $5,000 sign-on bonus is offered and schedule includes 3x12s (7a–7p) with every-other-weekend rotation.

Qualifications

• Active RN license valid in Ohio.
• Minimum 2 years of psychiatric/behavioral health leadership.
• Experience guiding inpatient care teams.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and care plans.
• Administer medications, including long-acting injectables.
• Lead admissions and discharges with the interdisciplinary team.
• Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation.
• Supervise LPNs and support staff.
• Ensure accurate documentation in the EMR.
• Educate patients and families to support treatment goals.

Lead Compassionate Care During the Day

As a Day Shift Psychiatric RN, you’ll guide patient care during the most active hours of treatment. You’ll combine clinical judgment, therapeutic communication, and teamwork to help patients progress safely through their inpatient journey.

What You’ll Do

• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and develop individualized care plans
• Administer medications and treatments, including long-acting injectables
• Lead admissions, discharges, and care coordination with the interdisciplinary team
• Provide crisis intervention using therapeutic communication and de‑escalation techniques
• Supervise and collaborate with LPNs and support staff

• Educate patients and families to support treatment goals

What We’re Looking For

• 2+ years psychiatric/behavioral health leadership experience (charge/assistant manager acceptable).
• Proven results driving quality, patient experience, and team engagement.
• Must be 21 or older
