Job summary

Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital, part of Lifepoint Health, invites you to join our Nights RN team in Somerset, KY. This full-time role features rotating weekends with self scheduling, and offers a $20,000 sign-on commitment for a two-year term.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in nursing required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Current RN license in Kentucky or a current active multi-state license.
  • BCLS required; ACLS, PALS preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care activities.
  • Documents patient care provided.
  • Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to the care team, physician, patient, and family.
  • Assists patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
  • Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial/spiritual support needs.
  • Evaluates learning needs of patients and/or family and provides education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
  • Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
  • Participate in performance improvement and continuing education.
  • Provides quality patient care and works flexible shifts or units as needed.
  • Maintains regular and reliable attendance.

How You\'ll Contribute

Education

What we are looking for:

Associate\'s degree in nursing required; bachelor\'s degree in nursing preferred.

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing

License

Current RN license in state of Kentucky or a current active multistate license

Certifications

BCLS required; ACLS, PALS,
