Join our team as a Float Nurse where you will provide compassionate care to patients alongside a dedicated team of Registered Nurses (RNs), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), and Certified Nurse Assistants. You will play a crucial role in assessing patient needs, administering treatments, and ensuring patient comfort and safety. Established in 1976, Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital has provided quality healthcare to area residents for over 40 years. LCRH is a 295-bed acute care facility, providing healthcare services for an 11-county service area in south central Kentucky.
Patient Populations Served: Neonate, Infant, Early Childhood, Late Childhood, Adolescent, Young Adult, Middle Adult, Older Adult. Protected Health Information Accessed: Demographic, Clinical, Insurance, Financial, Complete Medical Record.
Exposure: Occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens may be present.
Physical Requirements (typical): Frequent standing, walking, lifting/moving patients, keyboard entry, and repetitive hand/arm movements; occasional sitting, squatting, and kneeling; rare running or climbing.
Possible exposure to biological and chemical hazards, including blood/body fluids, hazardous medications, gases/vapors/fumes, and latex.
Associate's degree in nursing required, bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
1- 2 years minimum bedside RN experience required; 2- 4 years critical care experience preferred.
Current RN license in state of practice.
Active Kentucky license (single state or compact) required. If relocating, licensure must be updated to the new Primary State of Residence (PSOR) before employment begins.
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
BCLS required; ACLS and PALS preferred; Handle with Care preferred.
