Job summary

Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove, IL, is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for step-down care. This full-time role includes weekend rotations every third weekend and rotating holidays, with beds for CCU and Stepdown and a Level I trauma center.

The RN will provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care using the nursing process, supported by evidence-based practice and strong communication.

Registered Nurse (RN) – Step Down

Downers Grove, IL

Where You Will Work:

32 CCU beds

12 Stepdown beds

Level 1 Trauma Center

Full Time with every 3rd weekend, rotating holidays

We’re Looking For:

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association

What You’ll Do:

• As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
• Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
