Qualifications

  • Current Michigan RN license required.
  • Two years of acute care experience required.
  • Leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates care of the OB patient using the nursing process.
  • Monitors departmental compliance with accreditation and legal requirements.
  • Serves as a resource to staff on patient care issues.

Registered Nurse (RN) Coordinator, OB
Job Type: Full-Time | 1.0 FTE or 80 hours/pp
Schedule: 10 x 8-hour Evening Shifts/pp, (3p-11p), No weekends or Holidays

How you’ll contribute
  • Provides and coordinates care of the OB patient using nursing process.
  • Identifies and resolves issues affecting the delivery of clinical services.
  • Performs performance improvement studies and assists with implementation of PI initiatives.
  • Serves as a resource to staff and external contacts on issues related to patient care, patient flow, and clinical standards, policies and procedures.
  • Monitors departmental compliance with applicable requirements, including accreditation, legal, and The Joint Commission.
  • Coordinates staff scheduling, educational/development activities, and performance evaluations.
  • Provides and coordinates patient educational needs, specifically to Labor and Delivery.
  • Performs other job duties as assigned.

What we’re looking for

Applicants should have a current Michigan RN license and possess an associate’s degree from an accredited nursing school (bachelor’s preferred).

Additional requirements include:
  • Basic Life Support Health Care Provider (BLS-HCP)
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
  • Two years of acute care experience
  • OB experience
  • Leadership experience (preferred)
  • EFM, STABLE (within 6 months)
  • PEOP (completed within 1 year)
  • Annual influenza vaccination or declination required
