Job summary

UP Health System - Marquette is seeking an experienced RN Coordinator to support the Neurosurgery team in Marquette, MI. The role combines clinical excellence with staff coordination to ensure efficient patient flow and care quality.

You will oversee staff scheduling, participate in performance evaluations, and assist with QA/QI initiatives while maintaining compliance with accreditation and regulatory standards. A Michigan RN license and an associate degree are required.

Qualifications

• Current Michigan RN license
• Associate's degree in nursing (Bachelor's preferred)
• 4 years of health care experience
• BLS Health Care Provider certification

How You'll Contribute

An RN Coordinator who excels in this role:

• Coordinates staff scheduling, educational/development activities, and performance evaluations.
• Identifies and resolves issues affecting the delivery of clinical services.
• Performs quality assurance studies and assists with implementation of QA/QI initiatives.
• Serves as a resource to staff and external contacts on issues related to patient care, patient flow and clinical standards, policies and procedures.
• Monitors departmental compliance with applicable requirements, including accreditation, legal, and The Joint Commission.

What We're Looking For

Applicants should have a current Michigan RN license and possess an associate's degree from an accredited nursing school (bachelor's preferred).

Additional Requirements Include

• Basic Life Support Health Care Provider (BLS-HCP)
• 4 years of health care experience
