Qualifications

• Ability to work efficiently in a team-driven surgical setting

Responsibilities

• Serve as circulating nurse during procedures, maintaining sterile environment
• Perform pre-operative patient assessments and verify documentation, consents, and site requirements
• Coordinate surgical case flow and communicate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and surgical techs
• Maintain intraoperative documentation and patient records
• Monitor patient condition throughout procedures and respond to changes
• Ensure compliance with infection control, safety, and regulatory standards
• Assist with room turnover and preparation for subsequent cases
• Provide patient and family education before and after procedures as needed

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and patient-focused RN Circulator to join a high-performing Ambulatory Surgery Center team in the Carmel/Westfield area. This role is ideal for a nurse who thrives in a fast-paced surgical environment and is committed to ensuring patient safety, efficiency, and excellent clinical outcomes throughout the perioperative process.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the circulating nurse during surgical procedures, ensuring a sterile and safe operative environment

• Perform pre-operative patient assessments and verify documentation, consents, and surgical site requirements

• Coordinate surgical case flow and communicate effectively with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and surgical techs

• Maintain accurate intraoperative documentation and patient records

• Monitor patient condition throughout procedures and respond appropriately to changes

• Ensure compliance with infection control, safety, and regulatory standards

• Assist with room turnover and preparation for subsequent cases

• Provide patient and family education before and after procedures as needed

Schedule & Work Environment

• Full-time position

• Day shifts, typically Monday–Friday

• No nights, weekends, or major holidays (subject to facility needs)

• Fast-paced outpatient surgical environment with a collaborative team culture

Compensation & Benefits

• $40–$43 per hour (based on experience)
