Job summary

Raleigh General Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse in the CCU to join our team on a PRN Days basis, in-person at our Beckley, WV facility. The CCU team provides critical care with hemodynamic monitoring, ventilator management, and complex care across patient populations.

Applicants should hold an active RN license in the state and a nursing degree (ASN/BSN). BLS is required within 30 days, ACLS/PALS within six months, and residency support is offered for new grads seeking professional growth.

Qualifications

• Applicants must have a current state RN license and an associate's or bachelor's degree in nursing from an accredited nursing school.
• Basic Life Support certification required within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS and PALS required within six months of hire.
• One year of experience preferred; new grads encouraged to apply and will be supported through a 1-year residency program.
• ASLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs accurate and thorough patient assessments and identifies patient needs.
• Initiates appropriate nursing interventions based on assessment findings.
• Provides age- and condition-appropriate nursing care.
• Completes timely and accurate documentation supporting medical necessity in the medical record.
• Develops, implements, and revises interdisciplinary care plans for each patient.

The CCU team consists of highly skilled critical care nurses, physicians, respiratory therapists, and interdisciplinary support staff dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based care. Services include hemodynamic monitoring, ventilator management, cardiac drips, emergency response stabilization, and post-intensive procedural care. The unit is committed to promoting optimal patient outcomes while supporting patients and families through critical and complex healthcare situations.

How You'll Contribute

A Registered Nurse, RN who excels in this role:
