Job summary

Raleigh General Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the CCU, working PRN nights in-person at the Beckley, WV location. The CCU team provides high-acuity care with hemodynamic monitoring and ventilation management. Candidates should hold an RN license in good standing and have at least an associate degree in nursing (BSN preferred).

A residency track supports new grads. Compensation includes comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

  • Current state RN license.
  • Associates or BSN degree in nursing.
  • BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
  • ACLS and PALS within six months of hire.
  • One year of experience preferred; new grads welcome with residency.
  • ACLS/ASLS certification preferred

Responsibilities

  • Performs accurate patient assessments and identifies needs.
  • Initiates appropriate nursing interventions based on assessments.
  • Provides age- and condition-appropriate care.
  • Completes timely documentation supporting medical necessity.
  • Develops and revises interdisciplinary care plans for each patient

The CCU team consists of highly skilled critical care nurses, physicians, respiratory therapists, and interdisciplinary support staff dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based care. Services include hemodynamic monitoring, ventilator management, cardiac drips, emergency response stabilization, and post-intensive procedural care. The unit is committed to promoting optimal patient outcomes while supporting patients and families through critical and complex healthcare situations.

How you'll contribute

ARegistered Nurse, RNwho excels in this role:

  • Performs accurate and thorough patient assessments and identifies patient needs
  • Initiates appropriate nursing interventions based on assessment findings

  • Completes timely and accurate documentation supporting medical necessity in the medical record
  • Develops, implements, and revises interdisciplinary care plans for each patient
What we're looking for

Applicants should have a current state RN license and possess an associates or bachelor's degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include:

  • Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.
  • ACLS and PALS are required within six months of hire.
  • One year of experience preferrednew grads encouraged to apply and will be supported through our 1 year residency program
  • ASLS certification preferred
