Job summary

Raleigh General Hospital in Beckley, WV, part of Lifepoint Health, seeks an RN for the CCU unit to join a dedicated team delivering high-quality critical care. This in-person, full-time night position emphasizes thorough assessments, appropriate interventions, and coordinated care plans for complex patients.

The role requires an active RN license, a nursing degree, and BLS; ACLS and PALS within six months. New grads are welcome and supported by a residency program.

Qualifications

• Current state RN license and an associate or bachelor’s degree from an accredited nursing program.
• BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS and PALS certifications required within six months of hire.
• One year of experience preferred; new grads encouraged to apply and will be supported through our residency program.
• ASLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs accurate patient assessments and identifies patient needs.
• Initiates appropriate nursing interventions based on assessment findings.
• Provides age- and condition-appropriate nursing care.
• Completes timely documentation supporting medical necessity in the medical record.
• Develops, implements, and revises interdisciplinary care plans for each patient.

More About Our Team

The CCU team consists of highly skilled critical care nurses, physicians, respiratory therapists, and interdisciplinary support staff dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based care. Services include hemodynamic monitoring, ventilator management, cardiac drips, emergency response stabilization, and post-intensive procedural care. The unit is committed to promoting optimal patient outcomes while supporting patients and families through critical and complex healthcare situations.

How You'll Contribute

What We're Looking For

• Applicants should have a current state RN license and possess an associates or bachelor's degree from an accredited nursing school.


• Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.


• ACLS and PALS are required within six months of hire.


• One year of experience preferred new grads encouraged to apply and will be supported through our 1 year residency program


• ASLS certification preferred
