Job summary

Raleigh General Hospital, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the CCSD unit in Beckley, WV. This full-time night shift offers in-person work with a strong focus on cardiac monitoring, telemetry, medication management and patient education to support high-acuity patients.

You'll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, develop care plans, document thoroughly, and ensure clinical and family-centered care while pursuing ongoing professional development within a large

Qualifications

• Current state RN license required
• Associates or Bachelor's degree in nursing required
• ACLS and PALS certification within six months of hire
• Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire
• One year of experience preferred
• ASLS certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Performs accurate and thorough patient assessments and identifies patient needs
• Initiates appropriate nursing interventions based on assessment findings
• Provides age- and condition-appropriate nursing care
• Completes timely and accurate documentation supporting medical necessity in the medical record
• Develops, implements, and revises interdisciplinary care plans for each patient

The CCSD Unit at Raleigh General Hospital provides specialized intermediate-level care for patients requiring close monitoring and advanced nursing support following critical illness, cardiac events, surgical procedures, or complex medical conditions. This fast-paced unit bridges the gap between intensive care and medical-surgical services, caring for patients with cardiac, respiratory, neurological, and other high-acuity diagnoses. Nurses on the unit are skilled in cardiac monitoring, post-procedural care, telemetry interpretation, medication management, and patient/family education.

ARegistered Nurse, RNwho excels in this role:

What we're looking for

Applicants should have a current state RN license and possess an associates or bachelor's degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include:

• Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.
