Position Summary

This position involves assisting cardiologists in diagnostic and interventional cardiac and peripheral vascular procedures on adult patients. The RN must focus on high-quality, patient-centered care, including assessment and management of cardiac patients, with good communication skills. Responsibilities include circulating, monitoring, and/or scrubbing diagnostic and interventional procedures, as well as some pre and post-care.

Minimum Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Licensed RN in NC or a compact state with an unencumbered license
• BLS certification; ACLS certification within 90 days
• Minimum of two years of critical care or cardiac cath lab experience, with proficiency in hemodynamic waveforms and vaso-active medications
• Ability to read and recognize EKGs and dysrhythmias
