Job summary

Tenet Healthcare is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver professional patient care across ages, within established standards and practices. The role supports hospital policies and integrates with perioperative and surgical services teams.

Applicants should be graduates of an accredited nursing program, hold a Texas RN license or be eligible for certification, and complete required certifications (BLS, ACLS, PALS) within 60 days of hire. A sign-on bonus may apply.

Qualifications

• Must have nursing degree and Texas RN license or eligibility.
• CPR/BLS required; ACLS/PALS within 60 days of hire.
• Completion of peri-anesthesia or critical care training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Under minimal supervision, provides professional nursing care for patients ranging in age from newborn to geriatric, within the nurse's competencies following established standards and practices.
• Supports the mission statement, policies and procedures of the Baptist Health System.
• Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period.
• Other related duties as assigned.

Preferred Experience

• Completion of peri-anesthesia or critical care internship/training course

Required Certifications/Licensure

• Possession of current Texas State License for Registered Nurse or currently eligible for state board certification.

Preferred Certifications/Licensure

• Surgery - CNOR Board eligible/certified
• Post Anesthesia-CPAN Board eligible/certified
• GI Lab -SGNA Board eligible/certified

Required Courses/Completions (e.g., CPR)

• BLS - Must have active healthcare provider Basic Life Support on hire (ARC or AHA); however, must have AHA Healthcare Provider BLS within 60 days of hire.
• AHA ACLS must be completed within 60 days of hire or transfer into role for all Surgical Services areas.
• AHA PALS must be completed within 60 days of hire or transfer into role for Post Anesthesia Care Unit for licensed staff that care for Pedi.
• This includes the following facilities: North Central Baptist, St. Luke's Baptist, Westover Hills Baptist and Resolute Baptist Hospital.
