Job summary

Tenet Healthcare is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Cath Lab, covering Holding and Recovery. You will provide direct and indirect patient care across adolescent to geriatric patients and supervise staff to maintain safety standards.

Required is a Texas RN license and a nursing degree; 1 year of critical care, ED, or OR experience is expected. ACLS/BLS training is required within 6 months of hire.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is preferred.
• 1 year of experience in critical care, ED, or OR is required.
• Cardiac Cath Lab or Special Procedures experience preferred.
• Texas State RN license is required.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct and indirect nursing care in the Cath Lab, including Holding and Recovery.
• Supervises subordinates to ensure patient safety standards.
• Completes required competencies within the introductory period.
• Performs duties as assigned.
• Adapts care to adolescents through geriatrics.

This Registered Nurse is responsible for assigned nursing roles in the Cath Lab including Holding and Recovery; gives direct and indirect care as indicated by patient condition; works with patients from adolescents to geriatrics. Supervises subordinates to ensure patient safety standards are attained. Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned.

• MINIMUM EDUCATION: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• PREFERRED EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree from accredited college or university
• MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 1 year in critical care, ED or OR
• PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Cardiac Cath Lab or Special Procedures experience
• REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: Possession of current Texas State License for Registered Nurse
• PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: NA
• REQUIRED COURSES/ COMPLETIONS (e.g., CPR): BLS -Obtained through approved American Heart Association Training Center or the Military Training Network. ACLS within 6 months upon hire or transfer into position.
