Lifepoint Health's Highpoint Health – Winchester with Ascension Saint Thomas is hiring a Cardiac Catheterization Lab (Cath Lab) RN for a full-time day shift. Schedule is 6:30a–7p with weekend on-call once per month, joining a team dedicated to high-quality cardiac care in Winchester, TN.

As a Cath Lab RN, you will provide direct patient care, document care, and collaborate with the care team while supporting ongoing education, professional growth, and a strong patient-centered approach.

Qualifications

Current Tennessee or compact state RN license.
Associate degree from an accredited nursing program.
BLS certification (AHA) within 30 days of hire.
Minimum 1 year hospital experience preferred.
Ability to think critically and work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care using the nursing process per scope and standards.
Administer medications and other treatments as prescribed.
Document care and monitor patient condition.
Assist patients with activities of daily living and transfers.
Coordinate care with multidisciplinary team and educate patients/families.
Advocate for the patient's physical and emotional well-being.

How you'll contribute

A Cath Lab RN who excels in this role:

Provides direct patient care to patients using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.
Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment.
Documents patient care given.
Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family.
Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.

What we're looking for

Applicants should have a current Tennessee or compact state RN license and possess an associate’s degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include:

Certifications: AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire.
Required Skills: Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Experience: One year of hospital experience preferred.
Licenses: Must be a licensed Registered Nurse with the State of Tennessee or a licensed Registered Nurse from a Compact State with the proper Tennessee paperwork filed within 30 days of hire.
Education: Associate's degree required.
