Highpoint Health Winchester with Ascension Saint Thomas is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team. The role involves providing direct patient care under RN supervision, assisting with activities of daily living, measuring vital signs, and ensuring a safe, clean patient environment.

The position is PRN with variable 12-hour shifts. We value compassion, reliability, and teamwork as part of delivering high-quality care in a community-focused setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• AHA BLS certification is required.
• Handle with Care certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Assists patients with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, feeding, and mobility.
• Measures and records vital signs, intake/output, and patient observations.
• Reports changes in patient condition promptly to the nursing team.
• Assists with patient transfers, repositioning, and ambulation while maintaining patient safety.
• Maintains a clean, safe, and comfortable patient environment.
• Supports nurses and other healthcare team members in delivering quality patient care.
• Assists with stocking supplies and maintaining unit readiness.
• Documents care provided in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.

How You'll Contribute

A Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) who excels in this role:

Highpoint Health - Sewanee with Ascension Saint Thomas, located on the campus of the University of the South, is a 41-bed facility offering 21 general acute care beds and 20 skilled nursing beds.
