Job summary

Maria Parham Health, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Cath Lab team at Henderson, NC. The role focuses on direct patient care during diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures, with emphasis on prep, procedure support, and post-procedure recovery.

Required ASN/BSN, NC RN license, BLS and ACLS, and 3 years of Cath Lab/ICU/CCU experience. Compensation includes a sign-on bonus up to $20,000 with a two-year commitment, and full-time daytime hours.

Qualifications

• RN license in North Carolina (or compact license)
• BLS certification (American Heart Association) required
• ACLS certification required
• Three years of experience in Cardiac Cath Lab, ICU, CCU, or Emergency Department preferred

Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, high-quality care for patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures.
• Assist physicians during procedures and provide post-procedure monitoring and recovery.
• Utilize specialized clinical expertise to prepare patients and ensure safety during procedures.
• Collaborate with cardiologists, technologists and interdisciplinary team to enhance patient safety and outcomes.
• Manage complex cases with hemodynamic monitoring and conscious sedation as needed

The Electrophysiology (EP) Laboratory at Maria Parham Health is equipped with the latest technology to diagnose and treat an array of abnormal heart rhythm conditions. Our team is specially trained to perform a wide range of minimally invasive procedures designed to monitor, manage, and cure rhythm abnormalities. Procedures and treatments offered are Electrophysiology study, Cardiac ablation, Pacemaker implants, Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator (ICD) implants, Cardiac resynchronization therapy.

Summary

Provides direct patient care in the Cath Lab Department using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.

How You'll Contribute

• Deliver compassionate, high-quality care for patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures.
• Utilize specialized clinical expertise to prepare patients, assist physicians during procedures, and provide post-procedure monitoring and recovery.
• Serve as a patient-care innovator, incorporating the latest technology, imaging techniques, and evidence-based practices.
• Collaborate with cardiologists, technologists, and the interdisciplinary team to enhance patient safety, comfort, and outcomes.
• Manage complex cases with precision, hemodynamic monitoring, and administration of conscious sedation.

What we're looking for

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of North Carolina (or compact license)
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN) from an accredited nursing program; (BSN preferred)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (required)
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) (required)
• Three years of experience in Cardiac Cath Lab, ICU, CCU, or Emergency Department preferred
• Active North Carolina RN license (single state) or compact required. If relocating, licensure must be updated to the new Primary State of Residence (PSOR) before employment begins
