Job summary

Maria Parham Health is seeking an RN for the Cath Lab in Henderson, NC. The role focuses on caring for patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures, with duties spanning peri-procedural care and post-procedure recovery.

The team utilizes advanced technology in the Electrophysiology Lab and collaborates with cardiologists and technologists to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes. A BSN is preferred and a sign-on bonus is offered.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of North Carolina (or compact license).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required.
• Three years of experience in Cardiac Cath Lab, ICU, CCU, or Emergency Department preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, high-quality care for patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures.
• Prepare patients, assist physicians during procedures, and provide post-procedure monitoring and recovery.
• Incorporate the latest technology and imaging techniques to support patient care.
• Collaborate with cardiologists, technologists and the team to improve safety and outcomes.
• Manage complex cases with hemodynamic monitoring and conscious sedation.

The Electrophysiology (EP) Laboratory at Maria Parham Health is equipped with the latest technology to diagnose and treat an array of abnormal heart rhythm conditions. Our team is specially trained to perform a wide range of minimally invasive procedures designed to monitor, manage, and cure rhythm abnormalities. Procedures and treatments offered are Electrophysiology study, Cardiac ablation, Pacemaker implants, Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator (ICD) implants, Cardiac resynchronization therapy.

Summary:Provides direct patient care in the Cath Lab Department using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.Reports to:

Director or Manager of Cath Lab Department

What we're looking for

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of North Carolina (or compact license)Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN) from an accredited nursing program; (BSN preferred)Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (required)Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) (required)Three years of experience in Cardiac Cath Lab, ICU, CCU, or Emergency Department preferredActive

North Carolina

RN license (single state) or compact required. If relocating, licensure must be updated to the new Primary State of Residence (PSOR) before employment begins
