Job summary

Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center in Chicago, IL is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Cath Lab. This full-time role involves a 4-10 hour shift pattern, on-call duties, and potential travel to other Advocate sites for orientation. Expect to assist during procedures from prep through recovery in a three-lab cath suite.

The ideal candidate holds IL RN licensure, BLS/ACLS, and 1 year in critical care or cath lab. A sign-on bonus of up to $10,000 is available.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in Illinois is required.
• ACLS/BLS certifications are required.
• 1 year nursing experience in Critical Care or Cath Lab preferred.
• Must meet 30 minute arrival time to hospital and be on call.

• Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care during nursing process.
• Lead in creating the safest environment and best patient experience during procedures.

Registered Nurse (RN) – Cath Lab

Chicago, IL (Lakeview Neighborhood)

Full time; 4-10 hour shifts

Call required; must be able to meet 30 minute arrival time to hospital

May be required to travel to other Advocate sites for orientation purposes

Where You Will Work:

The unit has three Cath Labs where physicians perform minimally invasive tests and procedures to diagnose and treat cardiovascular disease. As a nurse in this department you will assist the cardiovascular team throughout the procedure from prep through recovery.

We’re Looking For:

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state of Illinois
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association and ACLS
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience preferably in Critical Care or Cath Lab
• Ability to take call and arrive to the hospital within 30 minutes

What You’ll Do:

• As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
• Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
