Job summary

Advocate Health Care is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for the Cath Lab at Chicago, IL (Lakeview). The role is full time with 4-10 hour shifts and requires on-call availability with a 30-minute arrival time.

You will join a three-lab cardiovascular unit, assist with prep through recovery during procedures, and travel to other Advocate sites for orientation if needed. A sign-on bonus of up to $10,000 is offered.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited or approved nursing program.
• RN license issued by the state of Illinois.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers and ACLS certifications.
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience, preferably in Critical Care or Cath Lab.
• Ability to take call and arrive at the hospital within 30 minutes.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process from prep to recovery.
• Lead with evidence-based practice to create a safe patient environment and optimal experience.

Registered Nurse (RN) – Cath Lab

Chicago, IL (Lakeview Neighborhood)

Full time; 4-10 hour shifts

Call required; must be able to meet 30 minute arrival time to hospital

May be required to travel to other Advocate sites for orientation purposes

Where You Will Work

The unit has three Cath Labs where physicians perform minimally invasive tests and procedures to diagnose and treat cardiovascular disease. As a nurse in this department you will assist the cardiovascular team throughout the procedure from prep through recovery.

We’re Looking For

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state of Illinois
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association and ACLS
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience preferably in Critical Care or Cath Lab
• Ability to take call and arrive to the hospital within 30 minutes

• As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
• Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
