Frye Regional Medical Center, part of Lifepoint Health, seeks an RN for the CVICU on a full-time day shift in Hickory, NC. The 8-bed CVICU delivers high-quality care and supports professional growth within a collaborative culture.

The unit offers self-scheduling and strong leadership support. Ideal candidates hold NC RN licensure (compact welcomed), BLS within 30 days, ACLS/PALS within six months, and 2+ years ICU/CVICU experience; BSN preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Current North Carolina RN license (single-state) or compact required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
• BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS and PALS required within six months of hire.
• Two+ years ICU/CVICU/PCU/Intermediate Step-Down experience required.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and identify needs.
• Initiate appropriate nursing interventions.
• Provide age-appropriate care based on the patient's condition.
• Document medical necessity in the medical record.
• Assist in completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan.
• Complete timely QI assessments.

The Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) at Frye Regional Medical Center is an 8-bed unit known for its exceptional teamwork, supportive culture, and commitment to delivering high-quality patient care. How you'll contribute

A Registered Nurse (RN)who exc:

• Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs
• Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions
• Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient
• Performs timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record
• Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient
• Performs timely and accurate QI assessments

What we're looking for

Applicants should have a current state RN license. Bachelor's degree preferred but not required. Additional requirements include:

• Active North Carolina RN license (single-state) or compact required. If relocating, licensure must be updated to the new Primary State of Residence (PSOR) before employment begins.
• Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS and PALS are required within six months of hire.
• Two or more years of ICU, CV PCU/ CV Tele, or PCU/ Intermediate Step-Down experience required.

One year of CVICU experience preferred.
