Frye Regional Medical Center in Hickory, NC, is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the CVICU on a full-time day shift. The position offers 12-hour shifts and a 3x12 schedule, with a $20,000 commitment-incentive bonus to join the team.

The CVICU unit emphasizes teamwork, ongoing professional development, and supportive leadership to promote exceptional patient care in a fast-paced, high-acuity setting.

Qualifications

• Active North Carolina RN license is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS and PALS within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs
• Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions
• Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient
• Performs timely documentation of medical necessity in the medical record
• Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient
• Performs timely and accurate QI assessments

How you'll contribute

A Registered Nurse (RN)who excels in this role:

• Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs


• Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions

• Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient

What we're looking for

Applicants should have a current state RN license. Bachelor's degree preferred but not required. Additional requirements include:

• Active North Carolina RN license (single-state) or compact required. If relocating, licensure must be updated to the new Primary State of Residence (PSOR) before employment begins.


• Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.


• ACLS and PALS are required within six months of hire.


• Two or more years of ICU, CV PCU/ CV Tele, or PCU/ Intermediate Step-Down experience required.


• One year of CVICU experience preferred.
