Job summary

MaineHealth Cardiology in Augusta, Maine is seeking a Registered Nurse for a per diem role in ambulatory care. You will work alongside cardiologists, APPs, nurses, and staff to provide high-quality patient care while maintaining flexibility in scheduling.

Ideal candidates have at least one year of RN experience, a current Maine RN license, and BLS certification (or willingness to obtain). BSN is preferred, with competitive hourly pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; BSN preferred.
• Current RN license in the applicable state (Maine).
• Current BLS certification or able to obtain within 30 days of start.
• Minimum one year of RN experience; inpatient or ambulatory care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality ambulatory care following assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.

• Perform patient care services to assist clinicians in the practice.
• Maintain documentation and ensure patient-centered care in a fast-paced setting.

This is a Registered Nurse 2 PER DIEM vacancy open to candidates with greater than 1 year of RN work experience.

Summary

The MH Registered Nurse - Ambulatory Care role provides high quality care to patients and families calling or presenting for care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, and performs a wide variety of patient care services to assist physicians/advanced practice practitioners in delivering excellent care to patients of the practice.

MH RN II: This level is competent in their clinical role and has demonstrated the ability to care for most patients assigned. Though not able to care for every patient type within their area of hire, demonstrates how to obtain the appropriate resources to develop required skills and knowledge over time. This level included automatic advancement after 1 year as a RN I – must be in good standing and meets RN I requirements.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities (KSAs)

• Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required; BSN preferred.
• License/Certifications: Current applicable state(s) license as a Registered Professional Nurse required. Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date.
• Experience: One year of recent RN experience required. Automatic advancement from RN I level if all onboarding requirements are complete, including the New Grad Residency (where available).

The pay range for this position is $34.35 to $46.46 per hour.

Compensation for part-time positions is determined on a prorated basis consistent with the scheduled hours and applicable full-time equivalent (FTE).
