Job summary

The Staff Pad is partnering with a regional healthcare system to recruit Registered Nurses for a 44-bed Cardiac Telemetry Step-Down Unit in Wausau, WI. This full-time, 0.9 FTE position offers 12-hour shifts and every 3rd weekend, with opportunities to grow in advanced cardiac care.

As an RN, you will care for patients with ACS, MI, arrhythmias, heart failure, and vascular conditions, while collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to deliver patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• ADN is required; BSN preferred.
• Active Wisconsin and/or Michigan RN license.
• Current BLS/CPR certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
• ACLS certification required within six months of hire.
• Strong commitment to teamwork, continuous learning, and exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care in a high-acuity cardiac telemetry environment.
• Continuously monitor patients and recognize changes in condition.
• Administer medications and nursing interventions per evidence-based practice.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans.
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatments, and discharge planning.

What You'll Do

• Provide high-quality, evidence-based nursing care in a high-acuity cardiac telemetry environment
• Continuously monitor patients and recognize changes in condition
• Use strong clinical judgment and critical thinking to respond to changes in patient status
• Care for patients recovering from cardiac, vascular, and pulmonary procedures
• Manage patients with complex cardiac and pulmonary conditions
• Administer medications, treatments, and nursing interventions according to evidence-based practice
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatments, medications, and discharge planning
• Maintain accurate documentation and promote patient safety and quality outcomes
• Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment

What We're Looking For
