The Staff Pad is recruiting a Registered Nurse for a high-acuity Cardiac Telemetry Step-Down Unit in Wausau, WI. You’ll provide evidence-based cardiac care, monitor patient status, and collaborate with an experienced team to support complex cases.

Ideal candidates hold an ADN with Wisconsin/Michigan RN licensure, ACLS and BLS, and are committed to ongoing professional growth within a regional cardiovascular program. Compensation is competitive with full-time benefits.

Qualifikationen

• ADN required; RN license for Wisconsin and/or Michigan.
• ACLS certification within six months of hire.
• BLS/CPR certification current or obtainable within 90 days of hire.

You’ll gain hands-on experience caring for patients with acute coronary syndrome, myocardial infarction, cardiac arrhythmias, heart failure, pulmonary embolism, pulmonary hypertension, vascular disease, and complex pulmonary conditions.

Schedule: Full-Time | 0.9 FTE (72 Hours per Pay Period)12-hour shifts | Every 3rd weekend | Two holidays per year

What You’ll Do

• Provide high-quality, evidence-based nursing care in a high-acuity cardiac telemetry environment

• Care for patients recovering from cardiac, vascular, and pulmonary procedures
• Manage patients with complex cardiac and pulmonary conditions

• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatments, medications, and discharge planning

Patients You’ll Care For

• Gain experience with complex conditions including:
• Acute coronary syndrome and myocardial infarction
• Cardiac arrhythmias
• Congestive heart failure and cardiomyopathy
• Pulmonary embolism and pulmonary hypertension
• Pneumothorax and emphysema
• Hypertensive urgency
• Peripheral vascular disease
• Valvular heart disease

What We’re Looking For

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred
• Active Wisconsin and/or Michigan RN license
• Current BLS/CPR certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire
• ACLS certification required within six months of hire
• Strong commitment to teamwork, continuous learning, and exceptional patient care
