Medicine PCU

Location: Livingston/Howell - Brighton April 2026

Employment Type: Part time

Shift: 12 Hour Night Shift (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM)

Role: Registered Nurse

Department: Medicine PCU (10 bed 3 South surgical unit and/or 19-bed acuity adaptable blended unit). Supports Critical Care Unit; candidates with CCU or PCU/Step-Down experience encouraged.

Required Qualifications

• Graduation from a school of nursing that results in the ability to sit for the NCLEX exam to become licensed as a Registered Nurse. BSN preferred.
• Current State of Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) License.
• BLS.
• ACLS required for the following departments: Float Pool, Cardiac/Cath Lab, AICU, Emergency and PCU at Livingston.
• Effective January 1, 2013, all new hires must have a BSN degree or must agree in writing to obtain their BSN within five (5) years from date of hire or transfer to an RN role.
• Knowledge of nursing theory, practice and age specific needs.
• Interpersonal skills necessary to initiate and maintain collegial relationships with coworkers and therapeutic relationships with patients and families.
• Critical thinking skills necessary to perform principal duties and responsibilities of job description.
• Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail when planning and performing professional nursing care.

Experience: Experienced Canadian Registered Nurses are encouraged to apply.

Shift patterns: Night Shifts 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Midnights every third weekend and rotating holidays required for Full-time and Part-time team members.
