Job summary

Trinity Health Livingston is seeking a Registered Nurse for a part-time night shift at our Livingston, Michigan location. You will assess, plan, implement and evaluate individualized patient care in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Responsibilities include gathering patient information, educating patients and families, and ensuring effective communication during rounds and handoffs. The role requires state RN licensure, BLS, and ACLS in specific departments, with BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Registration as a Michigan RN with current license.
• BSN preferred for advancement.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS required for Float Pool, Cardiac/Cath Lab, AICU, Emergency.
• Minimum 1 year ICU/PCU experience.
• BSN must be obtained within five years of hire or transfer.
• Knowledge of nursing theory, practice and age-specific needs.
• Excellent interpersonal and critical-thinking skills.

What you will do

• Gathers and analyzes patient information

• Effectively communicates patient status, priority goals and interventions during consultations, rounds and handoffs

Shifts Available

• Night Shifts 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Part-time Every Third Weekend and Rotating Holidays. required for Full-time and Part-Time team members.

Required Qualifications

• Education: Graduation from a school of nursing that results in the ability of the graduate to sit for the NCLEX exam to become licensed as a Registered Nurse. BSN preferred.
• Licensure: Current State of Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) License.
• BLS.
• ACLS required for the following departments: Float Pool, Cardiac/Cath Lab, AICU, Emergency.
• Experience: Experienced Canadian Registered Nurses are encouraged to apply - Minimum of 1-year of current ICU/PCU experience. Graduation from accredited nursing program.
• Effective January 1, 2013 all new hires must have a BSN degree or must agree in writing to obtain their BSN within five (5) years from date of hire or transfer to an RN role.
• Knowledge of nursing theory, practice and age specific needs.
• Interpersonal skills necessary to initiate and maintain collegial relationships with coworkers and therapeutic relationships with patients and families.
• Critical thinking skills necessary to perform principal duties and responsibilities of job description.
• Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail when planning and performing professional nursing care.
