Job summary

Northeastern Nevada Regional Hospital, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking an RN for the Behavioral Health Unit in Elko, NV. Schedule: 8–12 hour shifts per quarter. Join a mission-driven team dedicated to compassionate, patient-centered care and community well-being.

Qualifications

  • Current Nevada State RN license.
  • Basic Life Support certification is required within 14 days of hire.
  • Associate’s degree from an accredited nursing school.
  • A minimum of 1 year RN experience.

Responsibilities

  • Advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
  • Assess patient conditions and determine patient needs in a timely manner.
  • Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Document appropriately in the medical record to support medical necessity.
  • Collaborate across disciplines to coordinate patient care, transfers, discharges, referrals and psychosocial support.
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living, including hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.

How you’ll contribute
  • Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
  • Proficient in assessing patient conditions and making timely determinations of patient needs.
  • Clear, compassionate communication with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Performs timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record.
  • Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
  • Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.

What we’re looking for
