More About Our Team

Our Behavioral Health Department embodies a culture of teamwork and effective communication, which are essential for providing specialized care to patients. This department provides clinical care for patients from neonatal to geriatric.

How You’ll Contribute
  • Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs
  • Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions
  • Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient
  • Perform timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record
  • Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient
  • Perform timely and accurate QI assessments
  • Performs plan-of-care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care activities
  • Documents patient care provided in a timely and accurate manner
  • Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to the care team, physicians, patients, and families
  • Assists patients with activities of daily living (hygiene, elimination, nutrition, ambulation)
  • Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate care (transfers, discharges, referrals, psychosocial/spiritual support needs)
  • Assess learning needs and delivers age-/culture-appropriate patient and family education
  • Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient
  • Participates in unit and organizational performance improvement and required continuing education
  • Provides quality patient care and works other shifts/units as needed; may be assigned on-call
  • Performs other duties as assigned
