MetroWest Medical Center in Natick, MA is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to deliver direct clinical care, assess patient needs, and coordinate treatment across shifts.

The RN will supervise delegated staff, support leadership, ensure high-quality, safe nursing care, staff competency, and effective resource management, including planning for patient discharge and transitions.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a state-approved or accredited nursing school.
• Currently licensed or registered to practice nursing as required by law.
• CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, safe, cost-effective nursing care to all patients.
• Coordinate and integrate patient care using the nursing process.
• Direct care according to safety, risk management, QI, and Infection Control standards.
• Plan and coordinate patient care within the prescribed medical regime.
• Perform all HICS responsibilities during emergencies or disasters.

Job Summary

This role provides direct clinical patient care. The RN is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and coordinating care for assigned patients on a per‑shift basis. The RN supervises delegated staff, supports the Chief Nursing Officer, and ensures high quality, safe, and appropriate nursing care, staff competency, and effective resource management.

Responsibilities

• Provide high‑quality, safe, cost‑effective nursing care to all patients.
• Coordinate and integrate patient care using the nursing process.
• Direct care according to established standards of safety, risk management, QI, and Infection Control, aiming for optimal patient discharge.
• Plan and coordinate patient care within the prescribed medical regime.
• Perform all HICS (hospital incident command system) responsibilities during emergencies or disasters.
• Know the hospital’s emergency codes and adhere to corresponding policies and procedures.
• Perform related duties as required.

Qualifications

• Required:
  • Education: Graduated from a state‑approved or accredited nursing school.
  • Certification: Currently licensed, certified, or registered to practice nursing as required by law or state regulations.
  • CPR certification.
• Preferred:
  • Education: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in nursing.
