Copper Springs Avondale is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for Behavioral Health on the Night shift. This full-time role features a 3x12 schedule within a behavioral health hospital setting, focused on delivering compassionate, evidence-based care.

The team emphasizes leadership and collaboration, with emphasis on patient safety and adherence to nursing policies. Applicants should hold an active Arizona RN license and an associate degree, with BSN preferred for growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Current state RN license required.
• Associate degree from an accredited nursing school required.
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• ACLS and PALS preferred.
• Arizona license or Compact License with AZ endorsement required.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient and plan care within set timeframes and document findings.
• Oversee shift and delegate tasks to ensure policy compliance and high-quality care.
• Monitor patient for changes and notify physician as needed.
• Administer medications per hospital policy.
• Provide empathetic, respectful patient interactions.

How you'll contribute

A Behavioral Health (RN) who excels in this role:

• Will assess the patient and plan care within set time-frames and document findings according to policies.
• Will oversee and supervise the shift. Demonstrates leadership through duties that may include: delegating tasks such as groups, close observation,meal supervision, etc. Will also oversee staff to ensure nursing policies and procedures are followed and exemplary patient care is consistently delivered by self and all members of the team.
• Will monitor patient for change of condition and respond accordingly up to and including notification of the physician.
• RN will follow hospital policy for medication administration.
• RN will consistently use empathy, dignity, and respect when interacting with patients.
• Delivery of quality nursing care to ensure that goals of the treatment plan are properly executedfollowing hospital policies and procedures and demonstrated nursing competencies.

What we're looking for

Applicants should have a current state RN license and possess an associate degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include:

• Certifications: AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) required. ACLS, PALS and Handle with Care preferred.
• Licenses: Must have a current Arizona State License or Compact License with Arizona endorsement.
• Education: Associate's degree required. BSN preferred.
