Job summary

Centerpoint - Georgetown is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for our Bariatric ICU on the Night shift. This full-time role offers 3x12-hour shifts (7p–7a) with rotating weekends and a sign-on bonus up to $10,000 for eligible candidates.

Join our Kentucky Bariatric Institute team in Georgetown to provide specialized, compassionate care. The RN will deliver plan of care, document care, and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams throughout the patient journey.

Qualifications

• Current Kentucky or compact state RN license.
• Associate's Degree from an accredited nursing school.
• Certifications: BCLS.

Responsibilities

• Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care.
• Documents patient care given.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to care team, physician, patient, and family.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living (hygiene, elimination, nutrition, ambulation).
• Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, transfers, discharge, and referrals.
• Evaluates learning needs of patient/family and provides education appropriate to age, culture, and condition.
• Acts as advocate for the patient’s physical and emotional well-being.

At the Kentucky Bariatric Institute and Bariatric ICU, we are dedicated to helping patients overcome the challenges of obesity and related health conditions, including diabetes. Our Bariatric ICU team partners closely with the Kentucky Bariatric Institute to provide specialized, compassionate care throughout the patient journey-from pre‑operative preparation to post‑operative recovery. How you'll contribute

An RN who excels in this role:

• Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment.
• Documents patient care given.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family.
• Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
• Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
• Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well‑being of the patient.

What we're looking for

Applicants should have a current Kentucky or compact state RN license and possess an associate's degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include:

• Associate's Degree Required; Bachelor's Degree Preferred
• Current RN to practice in the state of KY
